- Do background checks: Use background checks to validate candidate's claims and check for any discrepancies in the application.
- Talk to the team: Ask the candidates to present to the team to determine if they have the right chemistry and communication style to be successful.
- Consider the culture: Consider how the candidate will fit in with the existing company culture and how they intend to shape it going forward.
- Shadowtime: Before making the final decision, provide candidates with an opportunity to shadow the CEO for a couple of days to observe their style of working and decision-making.
