How to Read Website Source Code

October 15, 2022

To read website source code, open the website of your choice in a web browser. Right-click on the page and select “View page source” (or its equivalent in your web browser). The source code of the page will be displayed in a new window. It may look like gibberish at first, but the code is formatted and can be read relatively easily.

You need to open its HTML or CSS files. This can be done by right-clicking the web page and selecting "View Source." Alternatively, you can inspect the web page using your browser's developer tools. Once you have access to the HTML or CSS files, you can read the source code to gain an understanding of how the website functions and is structured.
